Gubei Water Town is located in Gubeikou Town, Miyun County, Beijing, backed by the Simatai Great Wall, with Yuanyang Lake reservoir, is a rare natural ancient village in the suburbs of Beijing。The teachers and students of the two schools met in Shuizhen, and experienced the beautiful natural scenery, local customs and profound cultural heritage at the foot of the Great Wall through sightseeing, research and on-the-spot sketching。

On-the-spot sketching is the most familiar and good way of collecting wind research for art class students。In the ancient north water town with a long history, row upon row of houses, old streets with blue slates and long hutongs all show the style of the ancient town in northern China during the Ming and Qing dynasties。The students were attracted by the layers of ancient buildings in front of them, and they used their brushes to depict the spring scenery of water town, interpreting the unique cultural charm of ancient North Water town, so that the perfect impression of this ancient water town can be permanently preserved and passed on in their paintings。

The students also experienced a variety of intangible cultural heritage crafts。They came to the tie-dye workshop and learned that tie-dye, as an ancient dyeing process in China, has a long history and is an intangible cultural heritage in China. They watched and learned a variety of different tying techniques, and each tying method will appear unexpected tie-dye patterns。

The students went into the shadow play production workshop to experience the drawing process of intangible shadow play, more deeply appreciate the wisdom and ingenuity of the ancients, enhance their interest in and understanding of traditional culture, and enhance their hands-on ability and creativity。
